Fire-rated ceilings and fit-out assemblies

Aker Projects installs specified fire-rated assemblies within fit-out projects. The scope may include ceilings, walls or protection to structural elements.

We review the specified construction, interfaces and available documentation before execution. A required rating relates to a defined assembly, not a product name alone.

At Moncler Amsterdam, our package included local protection to the steel structure using Promatect boards. This was a small part of the wider plasterboard and finishing package.

Fire-rated ceilings depend on the complete assembly

The board is one part of the ceiling. The supporting framework and suspension also form part of the specified system. The required assessment may relate to fire from above or from below. We therefore review the specified assembly before pricing the installation.

What should you include in your enquiry?

Drawings and specifications help us define the execution package. Include the required fire rating and selected assembly if these have already been determined. The location and access arrangements and intended construction period also help us plan the work.

Can these works form part of a wider fit-out package?

Yes. Aker Projects can combine the agreed fire-rated works with other fit-out activities. At Moncler Amsterdam the local Promatect protection formed part of our wider plasterboard and finishing package.
