Head office: Hambakenwetering 1 · 5231 DD ’s-Hertogenbosch.

Contact and project enquiries

We use information you provide through our contact form or by email to answer questions and assess project enquiries. This includes your name and contact details and the project information you share. Drawings and other files may also contain personal information. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry.

Enquiries and project files are processed in our email system and website administration and may be stored in Google Drive. Required form fields are needed to handle your enquiry. Other information is provided voluntarily.

For enquiries about a possible contract we process information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. For commissioned work the basis is performance of the contract. We rely on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence and organising our work for business contacts and other questions. Statutory administration is processed to fulfil legal obligations.

Website operation and security

Technical information such as your IP address and browser information may be processed to operate and protect the website. We use security and spam filters to reduce abuse. Our legitimate interest is maintaining an accessible and secure website.

Cookies and advertising measurement

Cookiebot manages your cookie preferences. Necessary cookies support website operation and remembering your choice. Use the cookie button on this website to view categories and change or withdraw consent.

We use Google and Microsoft services for analytics and advertising measurement. These help assess website visits and enquiries attributable to advertisements. Processing may include technical visit information and advertising click identifiers. We request consent for non-essential cookies and associated measurement. Refusing them does not prevent you from submitting an enquiry.

Measuring advertisements in ChatGPT

With your consent we use the OpenAI measurement pixel to assess whether ChatGPT advertisements lead to enquiries. The pixel only loads after you allow marketing cookies. An enquiry is recorded only after the contact form has been submitted successfully.

Processing may include technical browser and visit information and an advertising click identifier. The pixel may store that identifier in the first-party __oppref cookie to attribute a later enquiry. If automatic advanced matching is enabled the pixel may detect supported contact information. It hashes that information in your browser before sending it. Hashing does not automatically make personal information anonymous.

We use this measurement to assess advertising results. Our measurement code opts the recorded event out of future user-level advertising personalisation. You can withdraw consent using the cookie button. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on consent.

Service providers and sharing

We use providers for hosting and email and for website management and security. Google also supplies Drive storage and measurement services. Microsoft supplies measurement services. Cookiebot processes cookie preferences. OpenAI receives information for the advertising measurement described above when you consent.

Relevant information may be shared with delivery partners and advisers involved in preparing or delivering your project. We limit this to information necessary for their work. Information may also be shared where legally required.

International providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. GDPR safeguards apply to such transfers. You can ask us which transfer and safeguard apply to your information and how to obtain further information. Read more about these providers’ own processing at Google · Microsoft · Cookiebot · OpenAI.

Retention

Retention depends on the purpose of processing. For enquiries that do not become commissioned work we consider whether the enquiry remains active and whether further discussion of a quotation is needed. After closure information may only be retained while a specific need remains. This may include handling a dispute. Once the need ends the information must be deleted or anonymised. This also applies to copies in email and Google Drive.

For commissioned projects information may be needed for delivery and aftercare or legal obligations. Basic financial administration generally must be retained for seven years. This does not require keeping every unconverted enquiry for seven years. Available information about cookie purposes and retention is provided in the cookie settings.

Your rights

You can request access to your personal information and ask for correction or deletion. Depending on the processing you can also request restriction or portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent.

Send requests to info@akerprojects.nl. We may request additional information to verify your identity. Please do not send a copy of an identity document without being asked. We normally respond within one month. If more time is needed we will inform you within that period.

You can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can also contact us first with your question or complaint.

Changes

We update this statement when our processing changes. The date above shows when it was last updated.
