For the Balenciaga store on P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam, Aker Projects brought together several wall finishes. The work covered plasterboard walls and Alucobond cladding alongside decorative plasterwork and the treatment of existing concrete walls. It was completed in two months.
New walls and existing concrete
Aker Projects installed 127 m² of plasterboard walls and impregnated 45 m² of existing concrete walls. The project combined new fit-out work with the treatment of surfaces already in place.
Alucobond and decorative plasterwork
The interior wall finishes included 81 m² of Alucobond and 120 m² of decorative plasterwork. Each material required its own application and detailing.
Finishing the store interior
The package also included a Dutch Klasse A surface finish and painting as well as spray-applied acoustic finishing. The gallery shows the work in progress and the materials used.
